Shipping Policy

When we receive your order and fill your package for shipping, we will notify you by email of the final cost of each cut you ordered, and the final cost for shipping. Your credit card will be charged when we ship your order.

We generally ship on Monday and Tuesday of each week only, in order to avoid the possibility of a package of meat laying out somewhere over the weekend.

Because we are a small farm, all our meat products are done in small batches, and only when the animal is ready. Every animal is an individual, and so grows according to its own schedule; not ours. Even within herds, some animals will grow larger than others -- it's only natural. That's because we don't pump our animals up with artificial feeds, hormones, and other drugs that produce a uniform product at the expense of food purity, safety, and taste.

We ship in insulated containers that generally hold up to 20 pounds of meat, along with the freezer packs necessary for a two-day trip. The less meat, the more freezer packs must be put in the package, so it's better to order between 10 and 20 pounds of meat, so that you are not paying to ship ice.

We charge a handling fee of $5.00 that covers the cost of the shipping materials.

Below is a shipping chart for shipping via United Parcel Service (UPS). UPS 3-day Select Ground shipping to the yellow area on the map will generally cost about $20 and arrive the day after it is shipped from our farm. To destinations in the brown area on the map, the shipping cost is about $25 and will arrive in two days. Outside these areas, we will ship via UPS 2-Day Air, and will quote the shipping cost in our return email when your order is prepared.
